The Rockies have made a few moves and are closer to trimming the roster down to 25 players.
The Colorado #Rockies announced today that they have optioned infielder Charlie Culberson.

Colorado has optioned utility inf/of Charlie Culberson to the minors. Culberson somehow appeared in 95 games for the Rockies in 2014, despite his .195 batting average. With Culberson not making the team, the utility infielder duties will likely go to Daniel Descalso, who club signed from St. Louis in the offseason.
If the Rockies don’t carry five starting pitchers on the opening day roster, Rafael Ynoa could get a chance to stay with the club. Ynoa has hit .309 this spring and hit .343 in 19 games in 2014.
Additionally, the Colorado #Rockies have traded catcher Audry Perez to the Baltimore #Orioles for cash considerations.

The Rockies have also traded minor league catcher Aubrey Perez to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations. Perez was a non-roster invitee to Colorado’s camp but with McKenry, Hundley and Rosario already making the club, there wasn’t much room for him to stick around.
Colorado has until Sunday to finalize their 25 man roster.
