The Rockies have been their usual quiet selves this offseason, but are looking at ways to improve the roster.

They were reportedly interested in acquiring Mets starting pitcher Dillon Gee earlier this month but nothing has come of those talks. Gee has a career 40-36 record with a 3.91 ERA.
Colorado has also been linked to former Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick and James Shields who pitched in the World Series for the Royals last year. Kendrick has a similarly mediocre career record to Gee and Shields is very much just a pipe dream to get a legit starter to pitch at altitude.
Barring the Rockies trading one of their stars, the idea of adding a premiere pitcher this offseason will likely come down to the development of farm hands Jonathan Grey and Eddie Butler.
Rockies pitchers and catchers will report to spring training in Scottsdale, February 20th.
