Logan who has been solid as the lefty coming out of the Rockies bullpen this season has made 18 appearances. He has a sub-two ERA with an even 1.000 WHIP. Logan last pitched on May, 17, so his DL-stint will be retroactive to the 18th.
Motte a 33-year-old right-hander who was signed in the offseason for $10 million over two years has yet to pitch for the Rockies this season as he an injury has kept him out up until this point. He did make six appearances in Triple-A this season allowing two earned runs in five-and-two-thirds innings. Over his career he has made 144 appearances, 76 of which came as a closer, primary for the Cardinals where he won a ring in 2011. Motte has a career 3.16 ERA and is likely to factor in to the Rockies closer’s role at some point this season.
