According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, Denver Nuggets big man Jusuf Nurkic is a player who “is sure to move between now and the trade deadline.”
Stein also reports that the Nuggets are “actively working” to find Nurkic a new team that would give him a chance to start.
From Stein:
“Sources say that the Nuggets, having acknowledged that Nikola Jokic and Nurkic didn’t click as a pairing, are actively working to find Nurkic a new home that would give him the chance he deserves to be a front-line center.”
With the emergence of Jokic as the focal point of the Nuggets’ offense, Nurkic has fallen to into a bench role, one he expressed displeasure in last month. In the last 15 games, Nurkic is averaging roughly 14 minutes per game and had a stretch of four-straight games in which he did not see any minutes whatsoever.
Nurkic, 22, is averaging 18.7 minutes and 8.6 points per game on 53 percent shooting to go with 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists on the year.
