Veteran Mike Miller and the Nuggets have agreed to a contract worth at least $5 million over the next two seasons, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Free agent Mike Miller has agreed to a two-year, $5M-plus deal to return to Denver, league sources tell The Vertical.

Miller’s contract which seemed inevitable ever since he was around the team at Summer League, brings the Nuggets to 12 guaranteed contracts. Joffrey Lauvergne, Axel Toupane, JaKarr Sampson are all on partially-guaranteed deals this upcoming season, while No. 7 pick Jamal Murray is expected to sign his rookie contract Tuesday. Juancho Hernangomez‘s status for next season is still up in the air as well.
The 36-year-old’s deal will pay the sharp-shooter substantially more than the veteran’s minimum over the next two years.
Miller appeared in 47 games for Denver last season and averaged 1.3 points in 7.9 minutes per game. He shot 36.5 percent from three when he did see the floor. Coach Michael Malone also relied on Miller to inbound the ball in late-game situations throughout the 2015-16 season.
When he’s not on the floor, Miller is regarded as one of the better locker-room guys throughout the league and was instrumental in turning the culture around in Denver last year. He will do more of the same this coming season as the Nuggets’ roster is still stocked with young players.
Denver still sits roughly $20 million below the salary floor.
