Free agent swingman Danilo Gallinari will meet with the Los Angeles Clippers this weekend, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Gallinari, who declined his $16.1 million player option with the Nuggets to enter unrestricted free agency for the first time in his eight-year career, has reportedly drawn interest from nine different teams including Denver, Sacramento, and Los Angeles.
The 6-foot-10 forward is reportedly looking for a deal in the four-year $100 million range but would agree to something slightly less, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.
Denver, who’s actively pursuing free agents Paul Millsap and George Hill, seem to have put their interest in Gallinari on the backburner. If either Millsap or Hill signs with the Nuggets, it’s hard to imagine Denver hanging on to enough cap space to interest Gallinari in a return, considering the type of deal he’s targeting.
