BSN Denver has received information from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation that wide receiver Jace Davis, who signed a future reserve contract with the Denver Broncos just last Monday, was arrested late Sunday night on a number of charges, including driving under the influence.
Davis was involved in a traffic stop with the Denver Police Department in which he was charged with five separate misdemeanors. According to the police report obtained by BSN Denver, the charges include driving under the influence, driving under restraint, failure to display licence plates, careless driving, and failure to appear in court for a previous charge.
A product of Northern Colorado and Denver East High School, Jace Davis was an invitee to Houston Texans training camp last year but was waived. He also spent 16 days on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad in 2014 when Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak was the offensive coordinator.
Davis is not on the Broncos current roster in an active role or as a practice squad participant. He worked out for the team on Dec. 1 and was set to join them when the roster expands to 90 in the offseason. It’s safe to say that those chances may be in jeopardy now.
