Rashard “Hollywood” Higgins is the biggest playmaker, the brightest star in recent history when it comes to Colorado State Rams Football.

Over the last three seasons, he went out and set one school record after another, including single-season marks for receptions (96), yards (1,750) and touchdowns (17) in 2014 as well as career records in the three categories (238, 3,643, 31). Before the NFL Scouting Combine even began, he played the role of star once again, showing out for cameras by “Hulking” his shirt and sitting with a pile of money and new cleats by Adidas.

On Saturday, it was his time to shine. And, unfortunately he was a little slower in the 40-yard dash than we expected, coming in at a 4.64. Trainer David Robinson told us last week he had been running in the mid-4.5s, but it shouldn’t affect Higgins’ draft stock too much because he’s never been known as a guy who can flat-out run past people.

Here’s a look at his other numbers:

40-yard dash: 4.64 seconds

Bench press: 13 reps

Long jump: 116 inches

Vertical leap: 32 inches

Gauntlet: 7.48 seconds

The gauntlet is most similar to playing in live, game action, which Higgins has proven time and time again he can do at a high level.

Watch Higgins run the gauntlet here:

DenverBroncos.com’s associate editor Ben Swanson interviewed Higgins today; read it in full here.

“It took a lot of consideration in coming out early,” Higgins said of declaring for the Draft after his junior year. “I know I talked to my mom, I talked to my friends close to me. But what my coach told me was, ‘Go with what gives you peace.’ I talked to God a lot; I’m a very spiritual person. I went to Him, and every time I told myself I was going to do this, I was at peace. So now that I’m here, I’m ready to show what I’ve got.”

Could Higgins stay in the state and land with the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos? It could just happen, Denver is looking for another young playmaking wideout in this upcoming NFL Draft.

If not in the Mile High City, Higgins could land in Atlanta, Arizona or even New Orleans with former teammate, quarterback Garrett Grayson. Grayson was selected by the Saints in the third round of last year’s Draft, while tackle Ty Sambrailo was taken in the second round by the Broncos. In 2013, Weston Richburg (New York Giants) and Crockett Gillmore (Baltimore Ravens) were selected in the second and third rounds respectively and Higgins looks to make it three years in a row a former CSU player has become a Next Level Ram.

DeAndre Elliott, a cornerback who started 26 of 35 games he played with Colorado State over the last three seasons, competes against the clock on Monday with the rest of the defensive backs. Coverage begins at 7 a.m. MT on NFL Network.

Make ’em believe in you, “Hollywood.” We already do.
