Colorado State received a verbal commitment from Kory Hall this weekend.
A 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete out of Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, California, Hall is listed as a three-star prospect on 247Sports. According to the same site, Hall holds offers from Utah State, Washington and Washington State. His Twitter page also shows an offer from Fresno State though, as well as recruiting interest from Cal, Oregon State and San Jose State.
CSU originally offered Hall back in October of 2022 and the staff have been persistent with their pursuit of him ever since. After taking an official visit over the weekend, it seems that Hall has seen enough to want to officially be a Ram.
Hall is coming off of an impressive junior campaign in which he played both ways for the Cavaliers. As a wide receiver, the position he’s expected to play at CSU, Hall totaled 32 receptions for 1,041 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2022. At 32.5 yards per reception, just about any time the ball went his way, big things happened for the offense.
Hall was also extremely productive as a safety, finishing with 117 total tackles (9.8 per game). He also added a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Looking at his highlights on Hudl, it’s easy to see what the staff likes about Hall’s potential at the next level. Whether he catches the ball downfield or takes it as a handoff behind the line of scrimmage, it doesn’t matter. He’s a major threat to take it to the house any time the ball is in hands.
Hall has quick feet, burning speed, and he plays bigger than he is. On multiple occasions you’re able to see him run through arm tackles or completely flatten someone as a blocker. He looks like a player that will fit in well in Jay Norvell’s ‘Air Raid’ offense.
