

It’s quite the journey from the start of fall camp to the regular season opener on September 5th. But as members of CSU Football attempt to cultivate a winning culture under Jim Mora — something that’s eluded the program with any type of consistency for far too long — the vibes in the locker room seem to be headed in the right direction.
When asked what has pleased the veteran football coach the most through the first five days of August practices, Mora emphasized his appreciation for the attitude and the effort of the players, which as he sees it, are the only components truly in their control.
“I think they come into every meeting with the right mindset,” Mora said. “I think they attack weights with the right mindset. I think their effort has been good. It needs to continue to improve. I mean, we’ve always just got to keep leveling up every single day. But you know, the things they control, their attitude and their effort, they’ve done a really good job of that.”
