Jaden Ghoreishi wasted no time making his presence felt in his Colorado State debut.
In CSU’s 84-74 opening night victory over Montana State earlier this week, the 6-foot-9, 215-pound freshman forward recorded a heady steal deep in the backcourt and threw down a vicious dunk within seconds of checking into the game.
Just a few short moments later, Ghoreishi followed it up by confidently knocking down an open jump shot from deep. As far as first impressions go, his opening minute of action was about as exciting as one could hope for, and the great thing was that his motor never slowed down from there.
“Not going to lie, after that dunk, I was like super nervous,” a smiling Ghoreishi told reporters postgame. “But I feel like that dunk just got me going.”
