Hauss Hejny became a campus legend Saturday night.
In front of a record-setting crowd at Colorado State that included over 17,000 students in attendance, Hejny gave the audience exactly what is was looking for, a superstar performance from the quarterback.
In a 35-13 win over Wyoming, CSU’s biggest margin of victory in the Border War since 2013, Hejny was the dual-threat stud he was advertised to be coming out of the transfer portal.
He was efficient with the football, completing 70 percent of his passes and spreading the love to 11 different players. And with three passing touchdowns to RJ Vick, plus one apiece to Cedric Ross and Jackson Harper, the Texas native joined Garrett Grayson as the only quarterbacks in school history to throw five touchdowns in a win over Wyoming (2014).
“I just did my job on those play calls, but it was fun to get five passing TD’s,” Hejny said postgame. “I don’t think I’ve ever done that before.”
