In our first official look at the 2026-27 CSU Men’s Basketball team this summer, one couldn’t help but notice two things.
The first is unsurprising, which is that with six key contributors from last season’s rotation running it back with the Green & Gold, this squad looks night and day from where the Rams were at around this same time last year. That’s not to say that the entire team looks ready for game day, but the chemistry is evident and the value of continuity is already apparent with the general family-like vibe of the roster.
The second thing that really stood out in our first glance at the Rams — and it really speaks to the evolution of CSU hoops over the last decade — is the athleticism and physical development of the 2026 freshman class.
