While Colorado State waits to take on Nevada in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 29, they’ve been picking up commits.

On Tuesday, Williams signed a financial aid agreement with CSU and will join the school in January as he enrolls for spring semester. Williams is currently a senior at Fulton High School in Knoxville, Tennessee where he helped his school to three 4A state titles.
Williams was a monster on offense and special teams this year, scoring 27 touchdowns total, with 12 through the air, seven on the ground and eight on kickoff or punt returns. But, he expects to play defensive back at CSU.
On Wednesday morning, A’Keitheon Whitner signed a mid-year National Letter of Intent to joint the Colorado State Rams football team in 2016.

Whitner’s a 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback out of Eastern Arizona College, a junior college, meaning he can play immediately for Colorado State. Whitner has two years of eligibility remaining and had 63 tackles with two interceptions at EACC.
Colorado State football said they expect to receive multiple financial aid agreements and National Letters of Intent from mid-year enrollees this week.

Toyous Avery is a sophomore strong safety moving over from Coffeville Community College in Kansas. Avery stands at 6-foot and 200 pounds and will be needed immediately as Trent Williams and Kevin Pierre-Louis graduate. In his year at Coffeville, Avery enjoyed 69 tackles with five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and five interceptions.

Houston Haynes is a 6-foot-4 safety who played the last two seasons at Los Angeles Pierce College. In those two seasons — with a redshirt year in between — Haynes totaled 42 tackles with two interceptions.
In all, there are 18 commitments in the Rams’ 2016 class to this point. One of those is tight end Dalton Fackrell, who will transfer from Snow College and was named a NJCAA All-American recently.
National Signing Day is Feb. 3, when the entire list will be talked about by head coach Mike Bobo.
