It’s been an exciting few days in Ram Nation.

On Tuesday, Dominique Williams was announced as an incoming defensive back from Knoxville, Tennessee.

Then, yesterday, three more signed up to play with the Colorado State Rams.

There was A’Keitheon Whitner, Houston Haynes and Toyous Avery; each of them also play in the defensive backfield and they all come from junior colleges. It means they’ll be able to play immediately with CSU and will be able to take part in spring practices as well.

Late Wednesday night, yet another player decided to commit to Colorado State; defensive end Anthony Smith from Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Green and Gold News’ Ryan Krous, Smith is a 3-star defensive lineman and one of the top prospects out of Nevada. According to Smith’s Hudl page, he stands at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds and his junior highlight tape shows off his skills. His first sack comes off a stunt inside, the second one is simply a speed rush around a tackle and on the third, Smith spun back inside to get to the quarterback. That season, he racked up 16 total sacks; Smith is the type of player Colorado State needs from a pass-rush standpoint.

While social media has changed the recruiting game in terms of announcements and learning early, the full list of Colorado State’s 2016 class will come on National Signing Day, which is Feb. 3, 2016.
