Colorado State football has added another wide receiver to the roster. Jeremiah Pruitte, a 6-foot-6, 218-pound freshmen from Marietta, Georgia was spotted at practice on Thursday morning.
According to Colin Barnard of the Loveland Reporter-Herald, a school spokesman has confirmed that Pruitte has officially joined the team. There is currently no word on whether or not Pruitte has signed a National Letter of Intent, though.
Pruitte, at one time, was committed to the University of Louisville. In February, Pruitte committed to CSU but failed to qualify according to Eddie Herz of 247Sports.
Head coach Mike Bobo did not meet with the media on Thursday, but more information on the wide receiver’s status should come out in the coming days. But the fact that Pruitte is practicing with the team after missing the first 12 days of camp is a promising sign for Rams fans.
Pruitte is joining an already stacked group of freshmen wide receivers that includes Ty McCullough (California), Dante Wright (Florida) and Jaylen Hearst (Texas). The Rams also added Auburn transfer Nate Craig-Myers (Florida) and Chadron State transfer Ryan Sayre (Colorado).
On top of familiar faces like Warren Jackson, E.J. Scott, Nikko Hall and Brenden Fulton, Collin Hill will certainly have plenty of new passing targets this fall as well.
