Moore was signed to a three year deal where he will make $12 million.
Weeks ago, we speculated Moore wasn’t likely to return to Denver, and his replacement may already be on the roster.
We knew going into free agency the Broncos wouldn’t be likely to spend big money, but the list of players leaving is growing more, and more each day, and isn’t likely to stop.
LB Nate Irving will visit with the Arizona Cardinals, and Terrance Knighton has reportedly “ruled out” the Broncos from his potential suitors list.
That leaves Welker, who isn’t likely to be back, Jacob Tamme, and Quinton Carter of Denver’s unsigned free agents. Tamme may be back for added depth, but the Broncos may have to fill most of their holes on the roster via the draft.
Despite hitting on some draft picks such as Bradley Roby, John Elway has a reputation for not being able to draft impact players in their first season. With such a short window for success, it’s time for that to change.
