Say goodbye to Bo “Stoney” Reynolds and Gary Ganja.
After less than a half-year on air “Smokin 94.1 FM” is cashed. The pot-themed rock station and its translator, which previously housed Mile High Sports Radio (now at 1340 AM) have changed hands once again. This time the buyer is none other than IHeart Radio, formerly known as Clear Channel.
According to Radio Insight, IHeart will fill the station by simulcasting programming from the 50,000 watt blowtorch of the Rocky Mountain West, news radio 850 KOA. That means listeners will be able to find Susie Wargin and Dave Logan and Andy Lindahl on their FM dials (along with Rush Limbaugh, blech).
It’s been a crazy year in Denver radio with many stations changing hands – including 104.3 the Fan, now part of Bonneville International. KOA now joins The Fan, along with 105.5 ESPN on the FM dial.
