BOULDER – A Pac-12 championship rematch will garner lots of attention. One of the things that flies under the radar is the attention it gets from recruits. High school football players love to see a great college atmosphere so the bigger games always seem to attract the most recruits.

This weekend, when the Colorado Buffaloes take on the No. 7 Washington Huskies, will be no different. The Buffs are expected to host five official visitors and over 30 unofficial visitors at the game this weekend according to buffstampede.com.

Official Visitors

Dylan Thomas
High school: Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA)
Position: Wide Receiver
Recruiting Class: 2018
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Verbally committed to CU

Thomas is the highest rated CU commit to date in the 2018 class. He holds a four-star rating on Scout and is the only member of this class who is rated four-stars. This will be Thomas’ first time getting to watch the Buffs live at a game and he should be able to help recruit some of the other visitors.

Dominic Livingston
High School: Aldine Davis (Houston, TX)
Position: Defensive Tackle
Recruiting Class: 2018
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Verbally committed to Texas A&M

As the Buffaloes continue to look for a nose tackle, the 340-pound Livingston is a top priority. Sometimes all you have to do is get them to Boulder, step one has been completed in the effort to try and convince Livingston to flip.

Hasaan Hypolite
High school: Hightower (Missouri City, TX)
Position: Buff Backer
Recruiting Class: 2018
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Uncomitted

Hypolite has the perfect build to play the Buff back position for the Buffaloes and his coach already utilizes him as such in high school. He can play both outside linebacker and safety and likes to move around to catch the offense off guard. Hypolite already visited over the summer and postponed his decision to see Boulder one more time. The Buffs are in a tight battle with Houston and East Carolina for Hypolite’s services.

Josh Jynes
High school: DeSoto (Dallas, TX)
Position: Center
Recruiting Class: 2018
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Verbally committed to CU

Jynes was an early commit to CU’s 2018 recruiting class and his official visit is a mere formality. He will have the opportunity to see a couple of his high school teammates play in Laviska Shenault and K.D. Nixon (who also happens to be his cousin).

Notable Unofficial Visitors

Hank Bachmeier
High school: Murrieta Valley (Murrieta, CA)
Position: Quarterback
Recruiting Class: 2019
Composite Rating: 4 stars
Status: Uncommitted

Bachmeier is one of the top rated quarterbacks in the country for the 2019 class. There are plenty of teams that are competing to land Bachmeier, but this is his second time coming to Boulder and there’s definitely some mutual interest. One of Bachmeier’s favorite targets during his breakout sophomore campaign was current CU receiver Maurice Bell so there is already some familiarity. The Buffs will be battling with the likes of UCLA, Minnesota, Cal and Ole Miss for his signature although there’s no question that this weekend could have a major impact on Bachmeier’s decision.

Kyle Ford
High school: Lutheran (Anaheim, CA)
Position: Wide Receiver
Recruiting Class: 2019
Composite Rating: 4 stars
Status: Uncommitted

Scout has Ford rated as No. 36 overall and the No. 3 receiver in the country for the 2019 class. Ford will be one of the highest rated players (depending on who you talk to) to step foot on campus during the MacIntyre era. All of the big dogs are in on this one, including Washington, so Ford would really have to be blown away to start considering CU as an option.

Spencer Lytle
High school: Servite (Anaheim, CA)
Position: Outside Linebacker
Recruiting Class: 2019
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Uncommited

As the brother of current CU quarterback Tyler Lytle, it has been assumed that the Buffs have the inside track on Spencer Lytle. That hasn’t been the case so far, Lytle is being very highly recruited, has already garnered a four-star ranking from Scout and has been keeping all of his options open so far. The Buffs will be competing with the likes of UCLA to try and keep the brothers together.

Joshia Davis
High school: Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO)
Position: Running Back
Recruiting Class: 2019
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Uncommitted

The three-star recruit’s only offer to date is from Colorado. He’s flown under the radar so far but has consistently put up big numbers at Valor since his sophomore year. The last time someone put up the numbers that he has at Valor was when a dude named Christian McCaffrey was playing for them.

Blake Stenstrom
High school: Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO)
Position: Quarterback
Recruiting Class: 2018
Composite Rating: 3 stars
Status: Verbally committed to CU

Stenstrom might end up being an unofficial visitor at every home game. He was at Folsom last week when the Buffs took on Northern Colorado and I won’t be surprised to see him in the future. It benefits CU to have him there as another recruiting voice.
