Over the course of the offseason Colorado’s equipment specific twitter account (@CUEquipment) has been tweeting out different uniform combinations on their manikin.

Some good:

But none the less it has people talking. Talking about their favorites, their least favorites, and which combos they think Colorado should bust out each game.

With that in mind, I was curious to see what uniforms fans did want to see for each game, so I made a poll.

We started with the first half of the season, and I tried to limit the answers to what I believed were the most likely, so as to save voters the time of sifting through all the ridiculous combos that won’t ever be worn.

Below are the results:

Game 1 – @ Hawaii

Fan favorite: Stormtrooper

My prediction: This in my opinion is the hardest game to predict. I think the players will be anxious to get out there in the “Stormtrooper” all-whites, but after discussion I think they will decide that it’s better to save those for CSU and come out in the Silver/White/Silver combination on the Island.

Game 2 – UMASS

Fan Favorite: Gold/Black/Gold

My prediction: This one seems pretty obvious, the Buffs have to come out the traditional Gold/Black/Gold‘s at some point, so an early season game against a small non-conference opponent would be a good time to do it.

Game 3 – “@” CSU

Fan favorite: Stormtrooper

My prediction: This is technically an away game for the Buffs, and it’s pretty doubtful that CSU would agree to letting them have the option of wearing the alternate jerseys, so I think CU will come out in the stormtrooper. The players see this as the big rivalry game, so they will want to bust out their favorite road uni for this one.

Game 4 – Nicholls State

Fan favorite: Gold/Black/Gold

My prediction: This one is tough, Nicholls State is easily the worst opponent on the schedule, so it wouldn’t make sense to throw out one of the more popular combinations on them. With that being said, the Buffs will have already come out in the traditional home uni and theres a chance they want to pull out one of the more bold combinations. Since I really can’t get a read on this one, i’ll just pick my favorite Colorado uni of all time, Gold/Black/Black.

Game 5 – Oregon

Fan favorite: Blackout

My prediction: The first big home game of the season against the national runner-up from last season. The Buffs want to bring out their favorite home combo for this one. From what I’ve heard from the players, the all-silver uniform is the most popular, so I’ll go with those.

Game 6 – @ Arizona State

Fan favorite: Stormtrooper

My prediction: With two of the more popular away combos already used, I think the Buffs will continue to mix it up and go with the silver/white/white combo in this one.

It seems obvious that the “stormtrooper” uniform is the favorite new combination for the fans, running away with all of the away games.
