It’s going up, on a Tuesday! The stadium, that is.
In December of 2011, Colorado State embarked on a journey fans barely thought was possible at the time, and yet, now it’s becoming a reality. Each and every day the massive structure continues to grow in size, every day it’s grounds are alive. Workers toil tirelessly to keep the stadium on schedule, which it continues to be both “on time and on budget” per the Coloradoan.
That means, in September of 2017, Sonny Lubick Field at the On-Campus Stadium will open its doors to coaches, players and fans; can you believe it?
It only takes one look at the progress to imagine oneself sitting in the stands, cheering on the green and gold with an ice cold craft beer along with 40,000 of your closest fans.
So, now, feast your eyes on that progress. These pictures were taken early morning, Monday, May 16. The views, as they always are, come from Lake Street and look Northwest at the western stands, Northeast at the eastern, student section. These photos pan from west to east.
