Colorado State Rams athletics is moving into the future soon with their state-of-the-art on-campus stadium, which is set to open its gates in fall of 2017.
The new multi-purpose stadium will be sensational, a remarkable upgrade over Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. Though, thanks to an anonymous $20 million donation, the name “Sonny Lubick Field” will remain in front of “at the on-campus stadium” until someone or some company agrees to purchase the stadium naming rights, too.
For any Rams fan, keeping it “Sonny Lubick Field” is a noble move which highlights the school’s athletic history by honoring one of the most important figures in Fort Collins history.
And, as we inch closer to the goal line of the stadium being completed, the construction crew is hard at work on the stadium.
Now, our photos and some video of progress on the on-campus stadium:
Here’s a video look at the construction crew at work on Saturday!
