Another week down, another week closer to football season, and another week closer to the on-campus stadium being completed. As Ram fans mourn the end of the men’s basketball season, stadium progress is the perfect cure for the basketball blues.
In a general release from the Colorado State football program, the nearly five months of work is highlighted and the future progress is outlined. Over 50,000 cubic yards of dirt has already been excavated from the site, which sits just south of Pitkin Street and Meridean Avenue.
Scheduled to open for the 2017 football season, the west side level 100 concrete is already completely in place, and the stadium’s exterior foundation is expected to be completed by next February.
Many questioned whether the stadium would be completed in time for the 2017 campaign, but it appears like CSU will in fact accomplish their goals, making the 2016 season the final campaign at Hughes.
And now, watch the tour with AD Joe Parker.
