Going back to the beginning of our photo series, in early March, there was little to look at on the grounds of Colorado State’s multipurpose, on-campus stadium.

Wildly, the stadium has sprung up over the last couple of months and is now a dominant piece of the Fort Collins skyline, even if it’s still about a year away from completion.

The first striking piece of structural steel which stood out was the white, north west corner section. Now, with the south west corner section also installed, the true immensity of the building comes to life for the observer. When I went to the stadium site last Saturday, June 11, standing on Lake Street and looking up at that white steel towering over me was a special moment. No longer was this some massive building being constructed in the distance, it was now up close and personal.

For those who haven’t gone down and looked at the stadium, I strongly encourage you to do so. And if you don’t have the time or live out of town, here are some great looks at Sonny Lubick Field at the On-Campus Stadium as it takes shape.

And here’s a view from Wednesday, June 15 tweeted out by Colorado State’s AD Joe Parker:

Keep in mind the pictures we have for you are taken from Lake Street (bottom left corner of Parker’s picture from a drone). So, from ground level we can see just how large it is. Of course, this view’s a little nicer.

This was from two weeks ago!

More from Mr. Parker on the lights in the new stadium:

And, make sure you purchase your premium seats quickly for 2017 and the kickoff of the new stadium, because they’re going fast!
