Peyton Manning is much more than arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time. He’s a comedian, a father, an actor, a leader and also a philanthropist.

For the second straight year, Manning’s PeyBack Foundation has given more than $1M in donations to 144 community organizations serving youth as well as at-risk children and their families.

“The mission and work of the PeyBack Foundation is something we are very passionate about and to be able to continue our growth through increased giving is very rewarding,” said Peyton Manning, PeyBack Foundation President in a release. “For the second year, we are fortunate to be able to provide a donation total of more than $1 million to youth based community organizations.

“With this donation, now collectively throughout the years, we have awarded more than $6.6 million in grants to more than 1000 youth organizations in Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana and Indiana.”

While more than 700 charities applied, 144 were selected: 73 youth related charities throughout Colorado received $625,000, 31 Tennessee organizations received $180,500, 18 Louisiana organizations received $120,000 and 22 Indiana organizations received $75,500.

Some of the charities impacted in Colorado are: Art Student League of Denver ($15k), three different Boys & Girls Clubs, Food Bank of the Rockies ($15k), Growing Gardens ($5.5k) and many more.

Considering all the negative news surrounding the National Football League in recent months, Manning stands as a beacon of positivity once again.
