Pair of Rockies sluggers to sit Tuesday vs Padres

The Rockies are licking their wounds after the 14-3 drubbing they took to the San Diego Padres on Monday night.

Both Nolan Arenado and Corey Dickerson got banged up in the blowout loss and will not be in the starting lineup tonight. Arenado says he can hit tonight if needed and should return from his wrist injury on Wednesday.

Dickerson left last night’s game in the third inning and has been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis.

Former Rockie and current Root Sports analyst Ryan Spilborghs had this to say about the injury.

Manager Walt Weiss said that this is something Dickerson has been dealing with and it hasn’t been a major issue.
