While Brock runs the first team in practice in preparation for the Monday nighter, Peyton Manning will, “Focus on his rehabilitation from a torn plantar fascia,” a decision made after conversations had with Kubiak earlier in the week. The future hall of famer is not expected to be active for Monday’s game.
The key for Osweiler in the start against the Bengals will be consistency, the young quarterback has had moments where he looked like the future for the Broncos, and some where he, well, didn’t. Strangely enough, the switch has seemingly been “on” in the first half and “off” in the second where his quarterback rating has been nearly cut in half.
The Broncos have done a great job getting out ahead of these stories before the speculation starts to boil over, now the key is to do a great job finishing off games.
