Major League Baseball released their full postseason schedule for 2017 on Tuesday. This could have major implications for the Colorado Rockies. Specifically, Oct. 4, is a date every Rockies fan needs to mark down now because that would be the club’s one game matchup with Arizona, Milwaukee or whoever grabs a wild card spot alongside them.

The Rockies have a half game edge on the D-Backs for home field advantage in the one game contest while the Front Rangers have a six game lead on the Brew Crew for the right to be in the game.

Of course, a lot could happen between now and Oct. 4, but both Fangraphs and FiveThirtyEight say the Rockies chances of playing in the playoffs are over 80 percent. Who would start and what will the club look like by early October? We’ll just have to wait to find out.

If the Rockies were to win that one game they would play in the NLDS for the first time since their 2009 loss to the Phillies. Because Colorado would be the Wildcard team they’d play the team with the most wins in the NL. That club will almost definitely be the Dodgers who have 13 more wins than the second-best Nationals as of Tuesday.

The schedule for the NLDS is as follows:

NLDS

Game 1: Friday, Oct. 6
Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 7
Game 3: Monday, Oct. 9
Game 4*: Tuesday, Oct. 10
Game 5*: Thursday, Oct. 12
*if necessary

The NLCS would feature a matchup between the winner of the Dodgers and whoever against the Nationals and Cubs, at least as of today.

Here is that schedule:

NLCS

Game 1: Saturday, Oct. 14
Game 2: Sunday, Oct. 15
Game 3: Tuesday, Oct. 17
Game 4: Wednesday, Oct. 18
Game 5*: Thursday, Oct. 19
Game 6*: Saturday, Oct. 21
Game 7*: Sunday, Oct. 22
*if necessary

Finally, the Fall Classic is as follows with an interesting note, home field advantage in the World Series will be decided by who has the best record.

World Series

Game 1: Tuesday, Oct. 24
Game 2: Wednesday, Oct. 25
Game 3: Friday, Oct. 27
Game 4: Saturday, Oct. 28
Game 5*: Sunday, Oct. 29
Game 6*: Tuesday, Oct. 31
Game 7*: Wednesday, Nov. 1
*if necessary
