Be careful of the stories you tell? Did you say this? Do you believe what you recite? Then why plant dead seeds by discussing trading Gallo? Why don’t we trade him for Dunkin, Wade, LaBron, or Curry? This way those teams can get rid of their best player also.

Very weak thinking on three accounts. One, your lack of insight would lead to a failed season to get fans back into the stadium; two, Gallo is happy, and you are smearing him (so you deserve the same); three, you are obviously trying to get readership when you should try using some insight and foresight, or quit writing.

This is the get rid of coach Karl since he is the coach of the year mentality. No matter who says what, we were set back several years, devastated the fan base, and, how is coach Karl doing now? A little foresight or new writers please.

What fans? The Can is empty!

I agree wholeheartedly that he we should inquire on possible trades for Gallo. Time to build around Jokic, Harris and Mudiay (hopefully he learns to shoot someday).

Jokic is the centerpiece of this team moving forward. Easily the best player on the team already. Look at his incredible stats – top 30 in the league offensively (14th) and DEFENSIVELY (29th)! 16th in the league in PER. This is no fluke, the guy is that good. He needs minutes, he needs touches, He needs to be the alpha dog – period.

Gallo can really help a contender as a scoring option. There is nothing bad in that. He is a great player and has done much for the Nuggets, but that doesn’t mean you stop doing what is best for the team and fans. He can bring this team some much needed help in other positions (PG, SG).

The same can be said about Faried. One of them should be traded to clear up minutes upfront.

Yea, I really like Nuggets 1st unit Jokic, Faried, Gallo, Harris, Mudiay*(under condition that he limit his FG attempt, 13 per game is insane considering his shooting percentages, focus more one assisting and limit turnovers). But actual framework consist of youngsters, Faried and Gallo are expendable long term if right price is meet

I do like Faried, his athleticism is big bonus at times but Denver could get great value for him in trade, one possibility, Minnesota’s Bjelica (bad fit for T-Wolves and Mitchell style of play, they don’t know how to use him properly, and would probably be more then willing to trade for Faried, but he is actually experienced good all-rounder (last year Eurolieague MVP and many years among top of Europe) who would fit well in Denver team play style, and add in mix Minnesota future picks, it would be win-win situation…

Regarding Gallo, team needs players able to score 20+ points at 40+% FG percentage, if then could get suitable replacement then he could be traded, but I think that this team will take little time to get full throttle, biggest problem lay in poor roster, only say 8-9 players could be used with any consistency and many of them are poor defenders

I would never get rid of a writer because they discuss a legitimate question that the front office must wrestle with.

Here are a few examples:

1.) The Warriors once traded Monta Ellis (their best player at the time) for Andrew Bogut. Seemed to work out pretty well for them.

2.) The Utah Jazz once traded Deron Williams (their best player at the time) to turn things over to a younger team.

3.) The Seattle Super Sonics once traded Ray Allen (their best player at the time) the same day they drafted Kevin Durant in an attempt to build around Durant and Jeff Green – they selected Russell Westbrook the following season with the 4th pick.

I’m not saying that Denver should trade Gallo, AT ALL, in fact I think they should keep him. But it’s an excellent debate and again, it’s something the front office has to be thinking about. Discussing it is completely legitimate in my opinion.

I definitely appreciate your thoughts on the matter and always appreciate a good debate. That is what moves us forward and challenges us.

Nate, awesome and thorough response. I appreciate it. I’m in way over my head. Driven by loyalty. I saw so much character in Karl fighting cancer, I still high regard that. Having said that, I’m very very optimistic, especially with the possibility of playing Nurkic and Josic at the same time. It’s much more fun this year, that’s for sure.

You’re not in over your head — your opinion is as important as anyone. We’re all just talking hoops. This season has been a blast. The locker room is SO MUCH different than it was the past two seasons, I’m a big believer in Malone, enjoying seeing the Front Office seem to be getting on the right path. Dealing Gallo could disrupt so much chemistry, that’s a huge point which I think is what you were getting at above.
