I understand the thinking, but I have to wonder if Faried is too good of a player not to play him, underrated passer and one of the best rebounders and finishers in the league. I think Faried and Plumlee could work, they should be able to defend the paint really well, at least. Maybe not ideal against all lineups, but playing against backups they should be more than OK, I’d think.

That’s the dilemma. Faried is definitely valuable, he’s needed, in my opinion for Denver to function at their fullest, and it’s unfortunate for him his playing time is dependent on if Jokic is in foul trouble. Don’t think we’ll see Plumlee and Faried together, though. Malone has been pretty firm on that.

It doesn’t matter what the data says, but our team wants nice guy yes men over free spirits like Faried. Look at the the veteran pick ups: Arthur, Hickson, Foye, and Plumlee. Nice guys that are marginal at best. They don’t like Faried, He is emotional, wear his feelings on the sleeve kinda guy. He does not fit it in with Joshy & Timmy’s kinda guys. This is the front office that let Evan Fournier, A. Brooks, & DJ Augustin walk for Foye. They could care less about results. They would rather lose with overpaid nice guys than win with better players. They will let Faried walk for nothing, just like Nurkic and Gallo.Oh at least we have the overrated Trey Lyles that averaged a whopping 8 points a game at Kentucky. But at least he is real “NIce” guy.

They could just play Millsap and Faried together more. Especially in games like this where the other teams don’t have a big backup center and Jokic is in foul trouble.
They work well together.

Yeah, only 12 minutes to go on but they’ve been solid. Could be something to watch for.
