Good collection of takes, as always. Commenting after the 1st playoff game…I think the only way Denver can steal a Road victory at Golden State is to Maximize their offensive talent by emphasizing the players who can attack the basket (want to shoot) and put pressure on Golden State’s 6’9″ and under lineup. Without Murray and MPJ, Denver cannot beat GS at their own game; similar to how Denver had problems against Phoenix last year.
Jokic is always the centerpiece, but the Attack strategy can put more pressure on the GS defense instead of just swinging the ball around and out Jumpshooting them by:
1. More High/Low action between Jokic and Gordon. Malone usually emphasizes this when he wants Gordon to build his confidence. I think Gordon succeeds better when plays are called for him for open looks to the basket instead of mostly read and react.
2. Gambling with a Green Light for Barton-driving and creating for the Thrill of it.
3. MORE Bones=MORE Action. He is the X-factor for Denver to Outscore Golden State.
4. Play Zeke–need more shot makers, more defensive size with Gordon together.
