Ellis is the real Phonz
After some reflection on this season, my top take away for this team is that they have a really strong survivor instinct, but they lack a killer instinct and that’s a problem. The other side of coming back from 3-1 twice, is that they got down 3-1 to begin with. They did that 3 times this post season, and that really encapsulates their entire season.
There were some incredible highs this season, a road win in Utah and Milwaukee with virtually half the roster. Then there were just some inexplicable losses. Home loss to Golden State, Atlanta, Zion-less New Orleans, etc… This team plays well when they’re under the gun, they’re the ultimate survivors. Now they need someone that can also teach them how to be hunters.
