Well if ‘Warning Shots’ were fired by Malone about Mudiay (which I think it sounded like), then the Real question is if Malone is willing to assign backup PG minutes to MORRIS (not Barton)??? We already know that Barton can be a capable backup PG (he even had 10 assists last game) and of course he is more mentally ready as an experienced NBA player to win more games as a core rotational player than Morris. But, the reality is that Barton is going to get BIG minutes no matter which position he plays, so why not for 10-12 min/game let Morris, the NCAA record holder for best assist to turnover ratio, show before the Playoffs (and before the Trade Deadline) if his game is NBA READY.
