The Denver Nuggets season is winding down, but the BSN Nuggets podcast is heating up. (Ok, I apologize for that previous sentence, but hear me out.) With the end of the season, we can look ahead to how the Nuggets will finish things up, and of course what the NBA lottery is looking like. With the NBA lottery comes talk of the prospects the Nuggets can potentially draft in the off-season. There’s always something to talk about the Nuggets.
Segments:
Start — 15:00 mark: Week in review, including talk of Kobe Bryant’s last game in Denver and the match-up between Emmanuel Mudiay and D’Angelo Russell. We also answer a Twitter question from @Fastbreakbreakfast on the Nuggets’ fourth quarter lineups from head coach Michael Malone.
17:40 — 31:00 mark: We go heavy into the lottery pick the Nuggets will own and the prospects they could be looking at – thanks to questions from @EvanMazotti and @Ctommoli24. I think there’s actually 2 high probability all stars in this draft, I’d say those 2 are Murray and Simmons. Ingram does look like a quality pick too, but his frame scares me a bit. I think Simmons has that #1 guy mentality, you can compare him to a lot of guys, but to me it seems like being a great player is important to him and that’s going to take him a long way with the skill and body he has already. I like a few middle round guys, Luwawu, Valentine, Hield, and Rabb. I also like Sabonis and Cordinier as more middle to late guys. I could see drafting Skal as sort of a bigger Faried and the guy from MSU, Deyonta Davis is also intriguing.
I’m a little disappointed nobody corrected me, Ingram absolutely is a high probability all star. Thanks for the podcast btw. I love your intro beat too, didn’t know it was dead prez
Thanks for listening David!
My guy Paul Klee of the Colorado Springs Gazette really likes Sabonis, too. I’m big on Ingram, not sure he’ll pan out — but like his potential. Murray is very intriguing too. And I’m in on Valentine for the mid round pick, too.
