Denver still has enough talent on the roster to beat Houston tonight. Faried has a 3 month window to show that his unique skill set with Jokic can have a higher offensive and defensive net rating than last year. The door is open now for Juancho and Lyles to boost the Nuggets 3pt game. The elder Chandler can reassure his confidence more at the 4 spot without having to chase opposing 3’s as much. Plumlee can just focus on playing backup center and making his free throws.
Millsap is a good to great player, but it does not mean that the Nuggets cannot be just as good or even better as a team after Millsap’s injury. The Nuggets have the talent, the question is how soon can the Nuggets develop the consistency and maturity that Millsap embodies to WIN BIG?
