Call me old-fashioned, but I wait for the press release, where the full schedule is laid out in front of us, so we can parse some of the more consequential details and juxtapose this year’s campaign, as it appears on paper, with last year’s ill-fated journey.
At a distance, schedule analysis is a laughable endeavor. Every team has to play each other, and divisional appetites must be satiated. But the travel schedule makes an impact, and as we saw last year, not all homestands or road trips are created equal.
