The Denver Nuggets took a small step toward addressing a big deficiency on Sunday afternoon. Ben Tenzer and Jon Wallace have signed the EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year, Alpha Diallo, to a one-year $1.4 million deal, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Standing 6’7″ and weighing 210 pounds, Diallo is a prototypical defense-oriented wing. Scouts describe him as a high-IQ defender with great versatility, and a contingent of voters formalized that reputation by naming him the best defender at the highest level of European hoops.
