The reality is that any NBA team who is 4th in Defense and 24th in Offense is probably not going to make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs in the Western Conference (Nuggets in Top 10 in Off and Def last year didn’t). All of the talented players in the Nugget’s rotation are relative known quantities as to how their talent translates to statistical production on the court with the exception of Michael Porter Jr. That is why his offensive talent is so important to establish and develop in real NBA games especially in the first half of the season with the second unit because if a veteran starter is having a subpar year after the All Star break, the Nuggets will already know if they can go to another Shotmaker as they enter the playoffs in the Wild West.

If the Nuggets end up 24th in offense, I’ll buy you a 12 pack of Breck Beer. I assure you their offense will trend upward over the next few month, but yes, if they’re this offensive team in the playoffs they won’t go far.
