Great work, Vogt.

I need to see more from Gordon bringing up the ball to be convinced. He was pretty loose in the first quarter.

Michael Malone: C. Playing Rivers over Hyland does nothing to help the Nuggets win the game or have a better team next May

I would give Jeff Green a B or B+ instead of a C+ for last nights game. My argument for this is his best play came at the most important time for the Nuggets. His stellar shooting early in the fourth quarter (2 back to back made threes) negated any Suns comeback/momentum which was vastly more important than the play in the second quarter. Even in the second quarter he was playing the best out of the entire unit.

As you didn’t include Facu or Rivers:

Facu: C
While he was a pest at times on defense and did his job well to get into the head of Payne and, at times, Paul, his offense and particularly some glaring turnovers remain concerns.

Rivers: D-
Please, catch the ball and shoot the ball. No more dab, dab, dab. He needs to keep the ball moving if he doesn’t have a clear shot or drive off the catch. Another game like that and his minutes will be going to Bones…maybe they should already.

I agree with Trade up 4 Fields. Uncle Jeff made some big shots in the second half that helped keep the offense going. An encouraging debut for a guy they’ll be counting on this season.

I would give Malone a D. He gets an A for making good in-game adjustments, showing strong leadership, having a good game plan and for the tough road win. But an F for not playing Bones. Averages to a D or so.

Jeff Green was easily a B- and in all honesty deserves a B to B+ like Trade up for fields suggested. I’m right there with him. There was never a moment where I was concerned having Uncle Jeff out there even as a second unit struggled. He never has lapses and hit timely quality shots. He never looked out of sorts at his first Nugget game nor would I expect him to. He brings much more than what we see out there as well which might not statistically increase his grade but I guarantee you his voice was heard at times last night as a Vet even though this team is “quiet” by all reports. I dunno, I just feel Professor Vogt was definitely harsh on a new guy when he didn’t have much if any negative to say about his performance and left out quite a lot of his successes last night. Either way, great work Vogt!

Ps. If Facu is graded a C like some suggest and Rivers a D- Than again, Uncle Green has gotta be at least some form of B. I know they were not graded. Just sayin based on comments. I like this new feature Vogt! Fun stuff!
