Michael Porter Jr.’s potential impact on the Nuggets this season looms as the top storyline at training camp. If Porter is the tantalizing forward prospect that he was before back injuries put him in street clothes for much of the last two years, the Nuggets may be favorites in the West. If he’s unable to contribute, Denver could still have a hole at the small forward position.
But perhaps Porter finds a happy medium between those two extremes and supplies the Nuggets with quality minutes off the bench. It may be exactly what Denver needs. Brendan has just alienated every Nuggets fan by pouring an ice water bucket on top of their heads. As he admitted, he hasn’t see MPJ play, nor is he a doctor. Yet those two facts didn’t stop him from predicting a injury-proned short career for MPJ. Brendan aspires to be the Mark Kiszla of DNVR.
