MAN. I’m going to rewatch that Jokic jumper over and over until the day I die. The basketball is out of the frame for a solid second before coming down. It’s hilarious and I love it so much.

I think it’s crazy and beautiful that Gary is the minutes leader of this team after coming off injury less than a month ago. He’s had his ups and downs these past two years but I’m so happy to see him thriving on this huge stage. The impact he has on this team is incalculable. He’s so important.

As bad as Paul Millsap has been these entire playoffs, I believe he is due credit for keeping this team in the bubble. I laughed when he said he was gonna do 100 push-ups after game 1 but I’m not laughing now, lest Daddy Paul give me the belt and send me to my room without dinner. Maybe we should give credit to Marcus Morris too. Paul is now a father of 3 after making Morris his son.

I always dread the Nuggets coming out after the 3rd, it usually takes a long time, but in Game 5 Paul dragged this team to the fourth and showed them what 100 push-ups could do. He takes all 6 of Denver’s 3Q FTA in Game 5 and two days later Denver has 12 FTAs in the 3rd. In both those games Paul plays most, if not all, of the 3rd and is instrumental in setting the table for a comeback. In leading by example, getting down in the paint and getting to the line, Paul provided the blueprint that prevented the Clippers from getting into an offensive rhythm while the Nuggets slowly revved up.

Mares says that game 7s are a toss up but I believe the Nuggets have a distinct advantage tomorrow night. If current trends continue, and tomorrow is a tightly contested, low-scoring rock fight, Denver wins. They can attack the paint, disrupt the Clips rhythm, get PatBev, PG, and Zubac in foul trouble, and force the D to collapse, leading to open shots (not that we’ll make those shots).

We can be, and have to be, the tougher, more physical team. Push-up Paul KNOWS this.

(Sorry, that was long as hell)
