Nate Wolters has signed with Adriatic League powerhouse KK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) after being waived by the Nuggets.
Denver has waived guard Nate Wolters, who agreed to Euroleague deal in $200-225 thousand range with club Red Star Belgrade.

Wolters, 25, signed a partially guaranteed three-year, $3.16 million contract with Denver this summer and saw action in four preseason games. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.0 assists in 11.7 minutes per game. Only $50K of Wolters’s contract was guaranteed.
It was set to be an uphill battle for Wolters to make the Nuggets’ opening night roster when the guard signed with Denver prior to the preseason. Emmanuel Mudiay is entrenched as the Nuggets’ starter, Jameer Nelson is healthy after an injury-riddled 2015-16 season, and the Nuggets view No. 7 overall pick Jamal Murray as a combo guard who will spend significant minutes playing the one with the Denver’s second unit.
Wolters played with Besiktas in Turkey last season before signing with the Nuggets. Prior to that, he spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans after the Washington Wizards drafted him out of South Dakota State in 2013.
Jarnell Stokes was awarded Denver’s 15th roster spot Friday night.
