DENVER — The Denver Nuggets announced that both Juancho Hernangomez and Malik Beasley are heading to the D-League and will join the Sioux Falls Skyforce. This will be Beasley’s second stint with the Skyforce and Hernangomez’s first.
Beasley is averaging 2.8 points per game in just 5.5 minutes while Hernangomez is averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game. Neither has seen much court time recently with a mostly healthy roster in Denver.
Beasley averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds, and two assists in nearly 30 minutes per game in his recent two-game stint with the Skyforce.
Michael Malone has said that he wants to get both Beasley and Hernangomez playing time in the D-League to help further their development. Both Beasley and Hernangomez still occupy a roster spot on the Nuggets who’s roster stands at 15.
The Skyforce play on Friday, Jan. 6 against the Texas Legends and both Beasley and Hernangomez should be available to play.
