With the seventh pick in the 2015 NBA draft the Denver Nuggets have selected Emmanuel Mudiay.
Mudiay, a 6-6 point guard, played last season for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 18 points, six rebounds and six assists per game.
Once regarded as the No. 2 high school prospect in the country, Mudiay opted to play in China last season after he didn’t qualify academically at Southern Methodist University.
Mudiay is a power point guard who excels at getting to the rim and is a terror in transition. At 6-6 his length and athleticism can also translate into defensive stops at times.
Though his shot is still a work in progress scouts love the improvement he’s shown in the past year.
