Since Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest began on Aug. 26, more and more players and teams in both he NFL and now the NBA, have followed suit and continued the dialogue around bringing awareness to the injustices against people of color in the United States of America.
That message has spilled over to the NBA as preseason play began last week with many teams locking arms as a sign of unity. Before tonight’s Nuggets game tipped off against the Lakers from Los Angeles, players from both teams stood together, continued that demonstration and interlocked arms as many teams have done throughout the past week.
