NHL Weekend Gambling Primer: Keeping it simple

Last you heard from this column we were busy going 0-4 on our straight wagers and 1-6 overall. So we took the week off to regroup, and we are going to keep it simple this week to provide some much-needed post-Easter loot.

Minnesota -1.5 (-110) vs. Seattle

The Kraken snuck up on the Avs the other night. Terrible teams aren’t known for consistency. Give me the Wild laying the 1.5 goals.

Avalanche 60 minute Money Line +130

This is a fun bet from time to time. Bet the Avs to win in regulation to get the better odds. If you want to bet like an accountant throw $50 on the Avs +130 and $50 on the tie at +330, as long as Edmonton doesn’t win you guarantee a small profit.

Arizona +1.5 (+120) vs Washington

It is not often you get a goal and a half and get plus odds. There is a sucker born every minute, this minute belongs to us.

New Jersey +180 vs Carolina

Buffalo +130 vs New York Islanders

We’ve been on these young teams in early Saturday contests for a while now. We have been oh so close to winning and this is the week. One of these two is winning outright, possibly both. Bet them both, using the same logic as the Avs 3-way line above, as long as one wins, you win.

Why Not ML Parlay +627

Florida -155, Nashville +150, Boston -130

Dialing back the number of teams, dialing up the chances to cash. Added bonus all these games will be done by 5 pm Saturday.

Prop to Watch

Evander Kane 1st Goal +1300

It’s going to happen, might as well make something off of it.

Straight Wagers 8-15-1 (-9.02units)

Overall Record 15-20-1 (+9.71units)
