Recognition has come quickly for New York Giants center Weston Richburg, a former star lineman for the Colorado State Rams.
Richburg was selected in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Giants, spent 2014 as the team’s right guard due to injuries, starting 15 games and playing in all 16. But 2015 was his “breakout” season.
Pro Football Focus named Richburg a Pro Bowler in December, though he was snubbed when it came time to announce the team.
Richburg played at an elite level for New York at his natural center spot, turning heads and even being named the No. 1 center by Bleacher Report. Hat-tip to Jim McElwain for seeing and tweeting this out:

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report writes here:
“After having ups and downs as a rookie at guard in 2014, Weston Richburg moved to center and quickly cemented himself as the best player on the Giants offensive line—and subsequently the best center in the league last season.
…There really isn’t a hole in the Colorado State product’s pass-protection game, and he might be even better as a run-blocker.”
The recognition doesn’t stop there. Richburg’s highlight reel was put together by @OLineScout which we wrote about and showed off here:

Richburg is a beast, and not only is he a Colorado State Ram, he’s the best center in the NFL today.
Here in Fort Collins, a banner proudly display’s Richburg’s picture inside the indoor practice facility, along with other Next Level Rams.
Without a doubt, we’re all proud of Weston and hope he continues to excel in the NFL.
