It’s Saturday afternoon, the Colorado State Rams football team doesn’t play their season finale for another four hours while it’s cold and snowy outside in Fort Collins. So, it’s the perfect time to watch the Colorado State Rams men’s basketball team.
Not so fast: You can’t watch the game.
Well, this stinks.
Rams fans all across the country found out the hard way they couldn’t watch the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic championship game, with 5-0 CSU taking on 5-0 UTEP in Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday.
Some paid for the subscription to UTEP Athletics, which is $9.95 per month, and includes video as well as audio broadcasts of UTEP athletics. It was the only way to view the game for CSU fans, yet, no go.
So I guess the game being video streamed was a lie even though it's listed as having video. Back to huddling around a radio broadcast.

Nope. #CSUmbb v #UTEP video stream non-existent, even though I created a @WatchCSL acct & gave CC info. Small time. https://t.co/XwesiOf1Us

Hey @WatchCSL, how do @CSUMensBball fans watch the UTEP/CSU basketball video stream right now? Link loads UTEP football AUDIO.

Cmon guys. There is no video. It's a $9.95 scam. Check your facts before you tweet https://t.co/017QhjKPVR
— RAMs for THREE (@Ramsforthree) November 28, 2015
Dear @JoeParkerCSU please take over full control of the basketball schedule. This is ridiculous, does us no good.
— David S (@DSahimi) November 28, 2015
@RichKurtzman no. And there's an f'ing UTEP football game on the audiocast. There's not even video listed when you get in there
— RAMs for THREE (@Ramsforthree) November 28, 2015
I get it isn't @CSUAthletics prob that the video isn't working it's on UTEP.The problem is we never should be putting ourselves in situation
— David S (@DSahimi) November 28, 2015
About one-quarter of the way through the game, we finally all got an explanation.
Live stats: https://t.co/cYaQ0tszvX / Live streaming video is not available due to venue internet issues. pic.twitter.com/VOb51rrasJ

But, fans weren’t happy with there being no video. Not just because of this game, but because it was far from the first time something like this has happened. Ram fans have become accustomed to not being able to watch their team, especially the men’s basketball team, on television. While football’s TV coverage has certainly improved in recent years, the same frustrations from those previous years only add to this point for those who want to watch their green and gold play hoops at a high level.

@RichKurtzman @CSUMensBball close your eyes and imagine the game is going however you want! Or got to https://t.co/egU9c9NIh2 whatever
— RAMs for THREE (@Ramsforthree) November 28, 2015
Good half by @CSUMensBball! I only assume you're playing well because you've scored more pts every 3 mins when stats update…
— Andrew Lehman (@csuRAMfan08) November 28, 2015
This is seriously embarrassing. @CSUMensBball is undefeated, was #1 in the RPI last wk, getting #Top25 votes & our radio partner snubs us.
— Greg Smith Smitty (@GoRamsGo) November 28, 2015
@GreenAaker @CSUAthletics @RichKurtzman @CSUMensBball I wish @AltitudeTV would be exclusive with the RAMS…#RAMSneedToBeOnTV 📺🏈🏀

So, if you want to listen to the rest of the game, you can here. And the stats are available here.
BIG WIN!
I got my $10 back for the failed #CSURams basketball feed from Texas.#Determination #Perseverance #Goals #Blessed
