After our game preview, here are BSN Rapids’ projected starting XI for each team leading up to Saturday’s rivalry in Foxborough Massachusetts.

Projected Lineups:

Colorado Rapids 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper: Zach McMath

Defense (left to right): Marc Burch, Axel Sjoberg, Bobby Burling, Eric Miller

Midfield: Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Dillon Powers

Forwards: Shkelzen Gashi, Kevin Doyle, Marlon Hairston

It’s a must that Colorado bring home points this week and keep pace with the other top teams in the west standings. As much as the Rapids need to get things figured out offensively, the defense needs to regain its balance. Because of this we’re predicting Micheal Azira finds his way back into the starting lineup.

With that choice made, the rest of the lineup fell into place. Marlon Hairston was kept out of last week’s game yet all reports seem to suggest he’s fit and ready to go if this is the case I fully expect this to be the front-four if Azira starts in central midfield instead of Dillon Powers.

COLvNE Projected lineups

New England Revolution 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper: Brad Knighton

Defense (left to right): Chris Tierney, Jose Goncalves, Je-Vaughn Watson, Andrew Farrell

Midfield: Scott Caldwell, Gershon Koffie, Lee Nguyen

Forwards: Kelyn Rowe, Kei Kamara, Teal Bunbury

It’s been argued that the Revolution might be better off starting Juan Agudelo instead of Kei Kamara. Regardless of that, Kamara has started every game thus far in New England and I don’t expect the trend to end now.

The rest of the lineup seems fairly stable unless the home team decides to make some drastic changes. The back four might see some changes at central-back but for now, this seems like a likely starting 11 for the Revs.

Stay tuned to BSN Rapids for all the latest updates on game lineups and other Rapids news for Saturday’s game.
