Colorado State University’s new on-campus stadium is coming, and soon.
Ground-breaking for the on-campus stadium – which will feature the football team but also be a multi-use facility – is set to happen in August of this year. The gates are scheduled to officially open in time for the 2017 season and now new details about how it will look have been shared.
Throughout the process of planning, multiple different renderings have been offered and the stadium’s design has been altered along the way. On Monday, CSU’s Ram Club account tweeted out the most up-to-date computer renderings of the supreme structure.
They’re pretty remarkable if you’re a Rams fan:

The suite level/press box area is elegantly wrapped in glass as to utilize the 300-plus days of sunshine a year as well as give those inside views of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Lower, the facade of the building is that wonderful rock which echoes almost all of campus and adds a little naturalness to the design. Also evident from the pictures are the trees and small plots of grass which will surround the stadium.
This will be a state-of-the-art facility befitting of Colorado State’s campus, which has seen an incredible amount of construction of new classrooms in recent years. The Rams are reaching for the big time and they’re about to grasp a world-class stadium.
